Training at home with dumbbells is better for fitness, fat loss and physique than gym equipment. It’s hard to believe that these hand-held weight training tools can replace a room full of expensive equipment. But this is true, which is desirable news for some simulators.
In difficult economic times, gym membership is one of the first things. Many gym participants calculate the cost of each visit to the gym and understand that it is simply not worth it and that the money can best be used elsewhere. But what do they do? Should they give up their dream of a toned, lean, athletically muscular body along with their gym card?
Absolutely not! In fact, former gymgoers should see this as an opportunity, not a disadvantage. They are now free to take responsibility for their fitness, fat loss and body condition and learn highly effective training methods that they may not have noticed before … like home dumbbell workouts.
The exercise concerns movement
Go to any commercial gym and … listen. Just listen to the other simulators to see what they are saying. Inevitably, you will overhear conversations about what MUSCLES a certain exercise. You will hear the trainer explain to the new client that this gym “works on gluten” or “is on lats”. And you’ll hear enthusiastic gym rats talk about “pumping up their ovens” or “blowing them up.” Of course … they relate to the specific muscles that the exercise works with.
But focusing on the muscles is the wrong focus. Exercise is about movement, not muscles. You improve your efficiency thanks to your ability to better move either your own body weight around or a weighted object. And ironically, training to move better strengthens the muscles needed to move and makes them grow … resulting in an athletic, lean, muscular body striving for most exercise.
Dumbbells are better to train with a balanced movement than gymnastic machines. Therefore, they are better for creating physical changes that lead to increased productivity and a more attractive appearance. Let’s first look at the gym …
Gym trainers restrict your movement
Tying yourself to a car and working against resistance in a predetermined motion is a clever way to train. Even if you can install a car installed according to the type and size of the body, the movement is completely alien to any movement you find in the real world. It makes if less effective!
Oh, but I forgot. You train your muscles, not your movements, right? If this only applies to you, sit down, put on your seat belt and push and pull in these extraneous ways. But if you want to improve the way you perform (and look) OUTSIDE the gym, you need to train your movements. And that’s where the dumbbells come in.
Dumbbells train your body as it moves
Dumbbells are an extremely versatile tool for training. You can use them together, one limb or in turn. This means that they closely mimic the movements you will find in real activities, sports and at work. This means more physical improvements that you can see, feel and USE!
Now just don’t think that by switching to dumbbells, you will get rid of the problem of “muscles against movement”. Most dumbbell workouts are designed by bodybuilders who ONLY work on the muscles. And they use the versatility of dumbbells to “highlight” specific muscle groups. This is not a way to get the most out of training with dumbbells!
A well-built dumbbell routine uses a wide range of exercises to train every imaginary movement. And this is done so that the most closely related to the movements that you will find in the real world. Using a full body workout that uses dumbbells in unison, alternately and alternately is one of the best ways to improve fitness, burn fat and build an athletic body. If this is the reason you use gyms, it’s time to get out of the gym and buy yourself dumbbells. If you are considering leaving the gym to save money, this can be a boon in disguise. Take this opportunity to break free from the “training muscles” mindset and start using dumbbells to train your movements. I think you will be satisfied with the results of work, health and appearance that you will get. Dumbbell workouts at home will be your new best friend.
